About Us:

As proprietors, we’re just a couple of old restaurant guys from the northeast who swore we’d never move back up to the cold. We both moved down here in the 80′s and 90′s but kept getting pulled back up north for work. Finally we found something that can keep us here for years to come in the perfect location. We all work hard, but we believe that you can work hard and still have fun in the sun. The people here make it easy to enjoy our jobs, and we will personally make sure that you “feel the fun” whenever you come into our restaurant.

We’ve owned and operated restaurants in the past in the northeast  (Michael being a New Yorker from Long Island while Paul hails from Nantucket MA), but we’ve never enjoyed it as much as we are now. We’re fortunate to have Chef Scott with us, since we have a 10 year history together going back to Chancellors Restaurant at the Point Breeze Hotel in Nantucket. Finally, we’re blessed to have this great waterfront location with a wonderful group of regulars who’ve become our good friends as well as neighbors and guests. Together with the rest of the staff we hope that you too will become one of the family here at Manatee Island.

Manatee Island Bar & Grill on the Port Salerno waterfront. Come tie up your boat or park your car to enjoy open air waterfront drinking and dining. Serving lunch and dinner from 11:30 - 9:30 with a late night bar menu available as well.

Manatee Island has been a must see restaurant since opening in January 2010 and is now rocking the Manatee Pocket with dynamite lunch specials starting at only $6. Its a great combination of food and fun on the waterfront.
